1. to be alive, & well.

2. that i have an amazing husband who takes great care of me and loves me unconditionally.

3. that my mom is doing well with her chemo treatments, and that the cancer is decreasing in size.

4.for the great people in my life that god has blessed me with.

5. a roof over my head and food in my tummy.

finished project :)

today i was finally able to finish my neighbors brag bag, and i have to say, it looks amazing! :) very proud of this one being its my first one thats been made by a specail order! its my favorite one so far, and to say the least my neighbor loves loves loves it! thank goodness. i had a time with this bag, being im a perfectionist when it comes to making something, and even more so when its for someone other then my self. everything had to be just right! :) check it out and tell me whatcha think?

OH! :) and something else is special about today -- my husband and i are celebrating our 2 year anniversary of being married  today :) YAY! i love you honey!

brag bags

several months ago i found a website where a woman makes bags out of old military uniforms. i thought they where the cutest thing! (: i absolutley HAD to have one. quickly finding out they can cost a pretty penny, i desided to go on a hunt for a nice begginers sewing machine. mind you i hadnt used a sewing machine since about.. 8th grade i surprisingly pick it back up very well. i discovered wal*mart no longer has thier "fabrics selection" but i was able to find some fabric they sell as a bulk in the craft center. i couldnt wait to get started sewing away. i had everything cut out and ready for about a week, before the sewing machine arrived in the mail. i am now a proud owner of my very only brag bag i made with my own two hands!

i am currently working on a bag for my neighbors mother. the inside will be made from my neighbors sons baby clothes, quilt like. as it has been a major pain in my rear end, i can not wait to see the finish project. i will be sure to post pictures up as soon as its done! :)

welcome everyone!

as you all can tell this is my first blog, ever! i am pretty excited to start writing, and  sharing bit and pieces of my life to you all. please feel free to follow, and comment. i just ask to leave any negitive to yourselfs, please && thank you. enjoy!



you may be woundering who i am. well, im not great at telling people about myself, but i can give it a whirl.
- my name is kelsey marks, i am 20 years old as of september 2, 2010. i grew up in a small town in Va, and pretty much knew just about everyone. weeks after i turned 18 i married my wounderful husband who is in the United States Air Force. shortly after we moved to delaware, where my husband is based. i cant say i like here the least, although living near the beach in the summer time is great.

my husband an i have a very... well, you can say.. different romance. you all probably wouldn't believe it if it werent true, and most get a pretty good laugh from it as well. i met my husband threw a mutal friend the beging of my senior year in highschool. it was pretty interesting to me that we.... shared the same name! haha. spelled differnet by one letter. not at all was it planned, but i fell for him pretty fast. as i learned more about him i quickly found out that he was leaving that january to go to basic training.
only dating for a month, give or take, i was pretty devistated when he left. although we hadn't known each other long, we both knew that what we had was real. after four months of being apart, only talking to each other by letters, i flew to Tx to watch him graduate. i cherished that short week, knowing i wouldnt see him again for a long while. seven months slowly went by as the time finally came for him to come home for a little R&R time. june of 2008 he popped the question, everyone was excited and happy for the both of us. little did they know we planned for a short engagement, an october wedding was in prossess. (: as of now we are introduced as Kelcey and Kelsey Marks, or as our familys call us -- kelcHE & kelSHE & no we do not share the same middle name, although that would be hilarious, and also we do not plan on naming our child kelsi. HAHA!
speaking of child, we do not have any children but we do have two very spoild dogs. jasmine which is a shih tzu and fe-fe which is a pug. fe-fe is pregnant as i speek, oh joy! pug-zus (which is what she will be having - pug and shih tzu mix) are soon to be on thier way. i am very excited, but im not too sure if im ready to be a "grandmother". haha.
